Gold price falls by Rs 10 to Rs 73,430, while silver drops Rs 100 to Rs 95,400 | Commodities

The price of gold took a slight dip in early trade on Monday, with the cost of 24-carat gold slipping by Rs 10 for every ten grams, trading at Rs 73,740. Alongside this, the price of silver also fell by Rs 100, with one kilogram selling at Rs 95,400.

In Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, the price of ten grams of 24-carat gold varied slightly, standing at Rs 73,890, Rs 73,740, and Rs 74,230, respectively. Similarly, the price of ten grams of 22-carat gold also declined, with it selling at Rs 67,590 in these major cities.

In terms of silver prices, there was consistency with the cost of one kilogram in Delhi matching Mumbai and Kolkata at Rs 95,400, while Chennai stood at Rs 99,900.

On the global front, US Gold prices saw a slight decrease as the dollar remained steady, and investors awaited comments from Federal Reserve officials and economic data to gauge the U.S. interest rate path. Spot gold was down 0.2% at $2,407.29 per ounce, while US gold futures fell 0.4% at $2,411.20.

The news of fluctuations in precious metal prices always catches the attention of investors and traders, providing insights into the dynamics influencing the market.
