Vancouver Junior Commences Exploration at Yukon & Colorado Projects in 2024

Metallic Minerals Corp. (MMG:TSX.V; MMNGF:OTCQB) has officially kicked off its 2024 exploration programs at its Keno Silver project in the Yukon Territory and the La Plata copper-silver-gold-platinum group element (PGE) in Colorado. These two projects show immense potential for the future, especially in light of the transition to a green economy.

At the Keno Silver project, an inaugural resource estimate of 18.2 million ounces of silver equivalent has been reported. The company is gearing up for diamond drilling at the site in July to further expand existing resources and potentially uncover new resources. The proximity to Hecla Mining Co.’s high-grade Keno Hill mining operations adds to the strategic value of this project.

Similarly, at the La Plata project in Colorado, Metallic Minerals has initiated field programs to identify and prioritize new drilling targets within the copper porphyry system. The company’s President, Scott Petsel, expressed excitement about the exploration activities at both sites and highlighted the potential for resource growth and new discoveries.

The importance of metals like silver and copper in the green economy cannot be overstated. Silver, being a precious metal and highly conductive element, is essential for various technologies, including solar panels and electronics. Its demand is expected to continue rising, with global supply struggling to keep pace.

Copper, on the other hand, plays a crucial role in electric vehicles and power grids, making it a vital component of the green energy transition. With prices for both metals on the rise, the exploration programs at Keno Silver and La Plata come at a strategic time to meet the growing demand for these essential metals.
