Schlumberger (SLB) and TotalEnergies have joined forces in a groundbreaking 10-year partnership aimed at developing innovative digital solutions to enhance access to energy resources while improving performance and efficiency. The collaboration between the two energy giants will focus on addressing key challenges within the industry, including carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS).

By integrating advanced digital capabilities such as artificial intelligence (AI) into SLB’s robust Delfi digital platform, the companies will work together to accelerate the development and deployment of digital solutions at scale. This partnership marks a significant step forward in utilizing cutting-edge technology to drive progress in the energy sector.

Rakesh Jaggi, President of SLB’s Digital & Integration business, emphasized the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in propelling the industry forward. This partnership will not only benefit TotalEnergies’ global operations but also provide valuable solutions to SLB’s extensive customer base worldwide.

The initial focus of the partnership will revolve around subsurface digital solutions for reservoir engineering and geoscience modeling and interpretation, using Delfi on-demand reservoir simulation (ODRS). By harnessing AI and real-world learnings from both companies, these processes will be accelerated and automated to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Namita Shah, President of OneTech at TotalEnergies, highlighted the potential for these advanced digital solutions to revolutionize the industry by reducing emissions and advancing geological carbon storage. Through this strategic partnership, both companies are committed to driving innovation and sustainable practices within the energy sector.
