Basin Uranium Corp. Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Great Divide Basin Uranium Project in Wyoming

Basin Uranium Corp. has recently announced the acquisition of the Great Divide Basin Uranium Project (GDB) located in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, USA. The project, consisting of 104 unpatented mineral lode claims totaling approximately 1880 acres, is strategically located in south-central Wyoming within the Great Divide Basin.

This acquisition marks the company’s expansion into the US and its second internally generated project in Wyoming. The claims are contiguous with Premier American Uranium’s Cyclone Project, which boasts an exploration target ranging from 6.5 million t to 10.5 million t averaging 0.06% U3O8. Wyoming is known for its vast uranium reserves, with the Great Divide Basin alone estimated to contain over 270 million pounds of uranium.

CEO of Basin Uranium, Mike Blady, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “The staking of the GDB property represents our continued expansion into the US and second internally generated project in Wyoming. We continue to execute on acquiring and developing strategic assets located in prolific mining districts with extensive historical exploration.”

The Great Divide Basin has a rich history of exploration, dating back to the 1950s. Its well-understood geology, historic exploration, and proximity to UR Energy’s Lost Creek ISR mine and processing facility make it an appealing investment opportunity. Wyoming is recognized as a premier exploration and mining jurisdiction for uranium within the US, providing a clear pathway for permitting and development.

The acquisition of the GDB Project solidifies Basin Uranium Corp.’s position in the uranium mining sector and sets the stage for further growth and development in one of the most promising regions for uranium exploration in the country.
