Bedford Metals Corp. has made a significant announcement, revealing the acquisition of the Sheppard Lake Uranium Project in Canada. This strategic move comes after a thorough diligence review, culminating in a definitive option agreement with an arms-length vendor on 8 July 2024.
The Sheppard Lake Uranium Project spans an impressive 2250 hectares and is situated adjacent to Bedford’s Ubiquity Lake Project in the southeast. This acquisition now brings Bedford’s total prospective ground to over 3600 hectares, strategically located just south of the Athabasca Basin’s lip.
The project area, known for its rocks of the Mudjatik domain, is a prime location for uranium mineralization. The main target at Sheppard Lake is a significant 4 km, northwest-trending EM conductor, intersecting the Cable Bay Shear Zone and forming part of a larger array of near-surface conductive anomalies.
Peter Born, President of Bedford, expressed his gratitude to the team for their diligence, highlighting the expansion of the Ubiquity Lake Project with the addition of Sheppard Lake. This move strengthens Bedford’s foothold in the highly prospective region and sets the stage for an enhanced exploration program.
With the incorporation of the Sheppard Lake Uranium Project, Bedford will reassess its summer exploration plans to leverage the expanded property. The goal remains to identify and develop high-potential uranium targets within the newly acquired project area, promising exciting developments for the company’s future endeavors.
