Latest Financial Performance and Strategic Developments in Uranium Industry

Date: August 5, 2024

Energy Fuels Inc. reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2024, highlighting substantial progress in uranium mining and rare earth separation initiatives. The company demonstrated its operational efficiency with a profitable sale of 100,000 pounds of uranium on the spot market, further reinforcing its market position.

Additionally, Energy Fuels secured a new long-term sales contract with a U.S. nuclear utility at commercially favorable pricing, further stabilizing its revenue outlook and paving the way for sustained operations in the uranium sector. The ongoing mining operations from its three conventional mines are aligned with the anticipated large-scale uranium processing campaign set to commence at the White Mesa Mill later in the quarter, projected to continue through 2025 and into 2026.

Uranium and Rare Earth Production Expansion

The successful commissioning of commercial rare earth separation at the White Mesa Mill marked a significant milestone for Energy Fuels, achieving ‘on-spec’ separated Neodymium-Praseodymium (NdPr) at commercial scale. This achievement not only affirms the company’s role in the U.S. critical mineral industry but also highlights its commitment to diversifying mineral extraction and production.

Energy Fuels is actively expanding its portfolio by entering agreements for two world-scale rare earth and heavy mineral sand projects, anticipated to yield substantial margins and cash flow in the forthcoming years. Furthermore, as of June 30, 2024, the company maintained a robust balance sheet with over $200 million in liquidity and no outstanding debt, underscoring its financial health.

Looking ahead, Energy Fuels has outlined plans to continue profitably producing uranium alongside other critical minerals such as rare earth elements, titanium, zirconium, and vanadium. The company is also exploring the potential involvement in radioisotopes for life-saving cancer treatments.

As part of their commitment to transparency and stakeholder engagement, Energy Fuels will host an earnings call on August 5, 2024, to discuss these recent achievements and outline future strategic initiatives in greater detail.
