Hertz Energy Inc. is expanding its reach into the uranium market in Namibia by submitting applications for Exclusive Prospecting Licenses (EPLs) in the country. Namibia is known for its rich uranium mineral reserves, with two large operating mines and five major exploration projects in the pipeline. The country is focusing on green energy transition, making uranium mining a crucial part of its national economy.
The applications filed by Hertz Energy cover areas with significant uranium deposits in Central Namibia’s Erongo Region. These areas are known for hosting both primary and secondary uranium deposits, making them prime locations for exploration. The Company is targeting both primary alaskite-hosted uranium mineralization and secondary uranium deposits, with the potential for significant findings.
The EPL applications were submitted by Odikwa Geoservices, led by Mary Barton, a Professional Natural Scientist and Qualified Person for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101. The Company is looking forward to expanding its operations in Namibia and tapping into the country’s long history of uranium exploration and production.
With the support of expert local consultants, Hertz Energy is poised to make significant strides in uranium exploration in Namibia. The Company’s CEO, Kal Malhi, expressed excitement about the opportunities in Namibia and the potential for growth in the green energy metals market. As the applications move forward, Hertz Energy is looking forward to developing and executing its exploration initiatives in the coming months.
