Malabar Gold & Diamonds, a well-known Indian jeweler, has opened its fourth location in the U.S. with the launch of a new store in Naperville, Illinois. This marks the jeweler’s 350th overall store worldwide, highlighting its growing presence in the international jewelry market.
The new 6,400-square-foot store, located within Patel Plaza, offers a wide range of jewelry options including bridal pieces and everyday wear items. With 25 exclusive brands and collections in stock, customers have plenty of choices to explore.
Shamlal Ahamed, managing director of international operations at Malabar Gold & Diamonds, expressed excitement about the brand’s expansion in the U.S., targeting the large Indian diaspora population in the country. The company already has stores in Chicago, Dallas, and Iselin, N.J., with plans for further expansion in cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, and San Francisco.
At the grand opening event, attended by Malabar executives and dignitaries like Somnath Ghosh, consul general of India in Chicago, and Rakesh Patel of Patel Brothers supermarket chain, the company’s leadership expressed gratitude to customers and stakeholders for their support.
Abdul Salam K.P, vice chairman of Malabar Group, emphasized the success of Malabar Gold & Diamonds in North America, attributing it to the growing demand for Indian jewelry in the western hemisphere. The company also has plans for expansion in Canada and other international markets, further solidifying its position as a global jewelry brand.
