Kerr attributed her subpar performance to a lack of focus caused by a restless night’s sleep. The tough conditions on the course made it difficult for players to maintain their usual standards of play, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph on the hilltops.
Both Stanford and Kerr faced difficulties in the closing holes, with the strong winds making it challenging to gauge their shots accurately. Despite the tough conditions, both players were able to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the field. Laura Diaz sits in third place at 2-under, while three players are tied at 1-under.
