Solis Expands Copper Landholding in Peru

Solis Minerals Limited has recently made new applications for copper exploration licenses in Peru, covering a total of 6,400 hectares of highly prospective copper ground in an underexplored coastal belt previously held by Anaconda Copper. These new applications, pegged on May 2nd, indicate limited exploration has been conducted in the area, presenting significant potential for the discovery of porphyry copper deposits.

With a total landholding of 43,500 hectares in the coastal belt, Solis has established itself as a major player in the emerging copper belt with porphyry copper potential. The company is actively advancing its exploration efforts, with two drill permit applications underway over Ilo Este and Ilo Norte (Chancho al Palo), and plans for the Cinto application in the works.

Field visits by Solis teams have revealed copper mineralization associated with silicification and alteration at the surface of the new application areas. Follow-up mapping and geophysical studies are set to commence immediately to identify primary drill targets.

Matthew Boyes, Executive Director of Solis, expressed excitement about the company’s expanding portfolio in underexplored regions. Solis is dedicated to advancing its drilling programs in Peru and exploring potential acquisitions in the copper and lithium space across South America.

With a focus on drill-ready copper and lithium projects, Solis is positioning itself as a key player in the exploration and development of critical minerals in Latin America. Stay tuned for further updates on Solis’s advancements in the South American mineral sector.
