Exploring the Northern Territory: Litchfield Minerals Confirms Base Metal Sulphides at Silver King Prospect

Litchfield Minerals Limited has made a significant breakthrough at the Silver King Prospect in the West Arunta region of Northern Territory. The company’s recent Diamond Drilling campaign has uncovered intrusion-related base metal sulphides, indicating a promising start for further exploration.

Initial results from Drillholes 1 and 2 have revealed substantial base metal sulphide mineralization near the surface. Notable intercepts include 15 meters grading 0.23% copper, 0.31% zinc, 762 parts per million lead, 4.8 grams per tonne silver, and 0.02 grams per tonne gold in Drillhole LMRD001. Similarly, Drillhole LMRD002 reported significant intercepts, further confirming the presence of valuable minerals.

Matthew Pustahya, Managing Director and CEO of Litchfield Minerals, expressed excitement about the discovery and emphasized the potential for scale and higher-grade mineralization. The company has completed a total of 1,769 meters of drilling across multiple prospects in the region, with additional assays pending.

The confirmation of copper mineralization at Silver King comes at a critical time for the global copper market. With increasing demand for copper in green energy and EV infrastructure, new discoveries like this one play a crucial role in meeting future demand. Litchfield Minerals’ exploration efforts align with the growing need for new copper sources.

Next steps for the company include expanding geological knowledge across the Mount Doreen tenement package and exploring underexplored areas for further opportunities. With heightened exploration activity in the West Arunta region, Litchfield Minerals is well-positioned to contribute to the discovery of valuable mineral resources in this promising area.
