Murchison Minerals Ltd. has reported the successful completion of the 2024 Winter Diamond Drill Program at its BMK Project in Saskatchewan. The program aimed to expand VMS mineralization at the BMK Deposit and discover an associated copper stockwork zone. The program comprised four diamond drill holes totaling 2,712 meters.
The drilling targeted four areas, including the BMK Extension, CST, and the North and South Extension Targets. Significant results were obtained, with drill holes intersecting VMS mineralization with high copper to zinc ratios, indicating the presence of copper stockwork mineralization. Notable intersections included grades of up to 1.96% copper in BMK24-002 and 7.76% rare earth elements in CST24-001.
The Company’s Vice-President of Exploration expressed enthusiasm about the results, highlighting the potential for further expansion and discovery within the BMK Deposit. The presence of high-grade mineralization north of the Deposit indicates a focus on exploration in that area.
