Aston Bay Reveals Exploration Program for Epworth Project in Nunavut, Canada, Targeting Copper, Silver, Zinc, and Cobalt Minerals

Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. has unveiled its exciting summer 2024 exploration program at the Epworth sediment hosted copper-silver-zinc-cobalt project in Nunavut, Canada. With over $2 million in flow-through funds allocated for this season and additional funding secured, the company is gearing up for an extensive exploration campaign.

The program will encompass a 5,000 line-kilometre airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey to pinpoint copper exploration targets and identify regional and property-scale structures. Dr. Elizabeth Turner will lead the geological and structural mapping, prospecting, and rock and lake sediment sampling efforts to bolster geophysical targeting.

The mineralization at Epworth bears resemblance to the deposits in the Central African Copper Belt and Aston Bay’s Storm Copper Project. With chalcocite boulders at surface yielding impressive copper and silver grades, the project shows promising potential.

Permits are in place for an initial phase of modern drilling, setting the stage for a potentially significant discovery. Aston Bay CEO Thomas Ullrich expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming exploration, citing the company’s substantial funding and readiness for discovery.

The geophysical program, commencing in July-August, will utilize advanced magnetic and electromagnetic techniques to detect prospective mineralized zones and refine exploration targets. Concurrently, a property-wide mapping initiative led by Dr. Turner will provide valuable insights for target development.

Community engagement is also a key focus, with planned meetings with local associations and community members in Kugluktuk. The project’s history, geological context, and recent exploration efforts underscore the potential for exciting discoveries at the Epworth Property.
