Milwaukee is now home to a new creative hub for small business owners, thanks to the vision of Jon and Amanda Schroder. Jon, the owner of Cobalt Glassworks, has been working with glass for over 25 years and recently opened a new studio space in the city’s Lower East Side.
The Schroders also opened Milwaukee Mix, a co-working space tailored for small local entrepreneurs. Located at 2414 North Farwell Avenue, Milwaukee Mix offers a unique work environment in an old doctor’s office building from the 1950s. The space features quirky touches like blue and green toilets and sinks in each room, adding a vintage and funky vibe to the workspace.
With five 10×10 rooms upstairs available for rent at $650 a month, including all amenities and utilities, Milwaukee Mix provides an affordable and creative space for businesses to thrive. Additionally, a 1,200-square-foot basement with a separate entrance is available for $2,000 a month.
The Schroders aim to build and support a small business community in Milwaukee through Milwaukee Mix. Their goal is to provide entrepreneurs with a dedicated workspace outside of their homes, fostering creativity and collaboration among like-minded individuals.
If you’re a small business owner looking for a vibrant and affordable workspace in Milwaukee, be sure to check out Milwaukee Mix. You can reach out to inquire about studio space through their Instagram page, Milwaukee Mix.
