Patriot Battery Metals Inc. Vice President of Exploration, Darren L. Smith, recently commented on the latest core assay results from their infill program at the CV5 Spodumene Pegmatite. The results from the 2024 winter drill program have been impressive, with highlights including high-grade lithium findings in multiple drill holes.
Mr. Smith highlighted the dedication and hard work of the team in conducting the extensive drill program over the past 6-8 months. The results from the CV5 pegmatite, coupled with a new high-grade discovery at CV13, are a testament to the quality and scale of the mineral resources present at the Corvette Project.
The 2024 winter drill program focused on resource infill, covering a substantial portion of the CV5 pegmatite strike length. The primary goal was to improve the confidence of the geological model at CV5 and upgrade mineral resources from inferred to indicated categories. The results obtained so far indicate robust thicknesses and lithium grades in the spodumene pegmatite body, showcasing the potential for advanced development at the site.
The winter drill program totaled 62,518 meters, including drilling at both the CV5 and CV13 pegmatites. With more results yet to be reported, the Company is gearing up for an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) in Q3 2024. This update will incorporate drilling data through April 2024, covering a significant amount of meterage and drill holes across the project.
