TVS Graphite, a scooter that was first showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, has been spotted on test in Karnataka by an avid reader. The design elements of this new scooter have been inspired by the stealth bomber aircraft, giving it an aggressive and sporty look. The fascia of the scooter resembles BMW Motorrad styling, with the seat moved to the rear and a pointed tail lamp adding to its unique design.
The TVS Graphite is expected to be the first scooter in India to offer automated manual transmission (AMT) and paddle shifts, providing a more engaging riding experience. The scooter is likely to have a 125cc engine with close to 10bhp of power, fuel injection, and a distinctive bulbous exhaust.
In terms of suspension and brakes, the TVS Graphite is anticipated to feature telescopic suspension at the front, a shock absorber at the rear, and possibly single-channel ABS. The scooter also boasts an active LED console, an immobiliser, and a smart e-key for added convenience.
While the launch date is projected for mid-2018, the price of the TVS Graphite is estimated to range from Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom). With its innovative features and affordable pricing, the TVS Graphite is set to make a mark in the scooter segment, offering a unique blend of style and performance for scooter enthusiasts.
