Klondike Gold Corp. has recently made a significant discovery at its Klondike District Property in Yukon, Canada. The company reported promising results from prospecting rock samples, indicating the presence of high-grade orogenic gold mineralization at the Stander Zone.
Peter Tallman, President & CEO of Klondike Gold, expressed his excitement about the ongoing exploration efforts in the Klondike District. The discovery of high-grade gold veins at surface and in drill core has led the company to focus its 2024 drill program on areas along Eldorado Creek, where significant gold mineralization is anticipated.
Field work conducted in May 2024 led to the identification of quartz veining with visible gold in three areas along the surface projection of the Stander Zone mineralization. Prospecting samples collected from these areas yielded impressive gold grades, with the top samples assaying 41.2 g/t Au, 30.3 g/t Au, and 24.9 g/t Au respectively.
These prospecting results are crucial for demonstrating the continuity of high-grade gold mineralization from previous drill intercepts to surface exposures. As Klondike Gold continues its exploration efforts, a Phase 2 drilling program of approximately 2,500 meters has been initiated to further test the potential for high-grade gold veining at the Stander Zone.
The company has also contracted MSALABS to provide gold analyses using ‘PhotonAssay’ for 2024, with drill assay results expected to be available in the coming weeks. Klondike Gold remains dedicated to advancing its Klondike District Gold Project and unlocking the full potential of its mineral resources.
