Pennsylvania-based progressive death metal band, RIVERS OF NIHIL, has just released the instrumental edition of their critically acclaimed album, Where Owls Know My Name, via Metal Blade Records. Known for their innovative and forward-thinking approach to metal music, RIVERS OF NIHIL has been making waves in the metal scene since their formation in 2009.
The band’s first two releases, The Conscious Seed of Light and Monarchy, established them as a force to be reckoned with in the death metal genre. However, it was their third full-length album, Where Owls Know My Name, that truly solidified their status as one of the most promising metal bands in the world. The album was a massive leap forward for the band, incorporating elements from various musical genres such as electronica, jazz, and folk.
Guitarist Brody Uttley expressed his excitement about the instrumental edition of the album, stating, “Ever since Where Owls Know My Name came out weve had people begging for an instrumental version. Well here it is! Better see you musician dorks doing all kinds of cover videos.”
The instrumental edition of Where Owls Know My Name features tracks such as “Cancer / Moonspeak,” “The Silent Life,” and “Where Owls Know My Name,” among others. The band will also be performing live at the New England Metal And Hardcore Fest Pre-Party in Worcester, MA, and the Metal Injection Fest in Brooklyn, NY.
