Romios Gold Resources Inc. has announced exciting new developments at their Kinkaid property in Mineral County, Nevada. Photosat, using advanced technology, re-interpreted a Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) satellite image study and identified alteration zones associated with mineralization on the property. This new work revealed the presence of sericite associated with known mineralized structures and outlined the same signature on previously unrecognized linear alteration zones, potentially linked to additional mineralized vein systems.
John Biczok, VP Exploration, expressed enthusiasm over the findings, noting the discovery of significant new targets with similarities to high-grade Au-Cu-Ag vein deposits historically mined in the area. The identification of a broad circular zone of persistent sericite alteration over 1 km wide, along with spot anomalies, suggests the presence of buried porphyry copper systems.
Highlighting the results, the same sericite alteration signature found near known Au-Cu-Ag vein deposits has been detected in parallel zones, extending the potential mineralized structure. Additionally, a wide circular pattern of favorable alteration was outlined over the new KIN target discovered in 2023, where mineralized boulders with high copper values were located.
With these promising findings, a team of Romios’ senior personnel is set to investigate the new targets on the ground starting on June 14th. Stephen Burega, President, and CEO emphasized the importance of these discoveries in advancing the understanding of the project and supporting Romios’ porphyry modeling efforts.
This breakthrough represents a significant step forward for Romios Gold Resources Inc. as they continue their exploration efforts in the mineral-rich region of Nevada.
