Teako Minerals Completes Sandefjord Rare Earth Element Program and Deploys Field Crew to Silver-Zinc-Copper Projects in District South

Teako Minerals Corp. has successfully completed its first-pass field evaluation of the Sandefjord Program, focusing on apatite-REE projects near Europe’s largest deposit of Rare Earth Elements. The program included soil sampling and grab sampling, with initial analyses indicating elevated levels of Fe-Ti-P in the soils over previously recorded anomalies as mapped by the Norwegian Geological Survey.

Following the success of the Sandefjord Program, Teako has now shifted its focus to the Eiker Program, which includes the Copper-Molybdenum project, Merkedammen, and the silver-zinc-copper-gold project, Hellemyr. These projects form part of the company’s regional summer exploration program, with the potential to expand to include additional projects in the future.

The Hellemyr project area, located within the historic Kongsberg silver mining district, has a rich mining history dating back to the early 1600s. The area contains base metal occurrences and a strong gold and silver trend, with the historic Bergsgruva base metal mine being in production multiple times between 1818 and 1889.

The Merkedammen project area, situated in the Vestfold region of Norway, has a history of exploration for molybdenum porphyry-style deposits. Previous work by LKAB in the 1980s identified anomalous molybdenum, tungsten, and copper soil anomalies in the area.

Overall, Teako is committed to acquiring, exploring, and developing mineral properties in Norway and Finland, with a focus on copper, cobalt, gold, molybdenum, and rare earth elements. The company’s exploration efforts are guided by a team of experienced professionals, including Qualified Person Eric Roth, who has over 35 years of experience in mineral exploration and mining project evaluation.
